I can’t wait for the Halloween party this weekend. I’m going to be the first one there nahmane……

I am fired up about today (10/26 ;) ) because I’m taking a rest day. On rest days I get to stay up late, I get an extra hour of coffee/TV time in the morning before work, and my mom makes my bed. She makes it regardless though so whatever…….

I just wanted everyone to know that I got about 9 hours of sleep last night. The last time that happened was back in 1995. I believe I was in the 5th grade then. What grade were YOU in?

Seriously??? Is that true? That’s crazy. In 1995, I was in my first year of law school.

Rhabdo – please copy that comment and file it away. Then one day down the road when you have children, bring it back out, read it, and have yourself a nice little chuckle.

Love this WOD!! “Program WOD GODs” have been listening to my prayers! See, all you have to do is ask the Universe for the things in life you want – it eventually answers.

Guerrilla is a HUGE part of my life! I’m loving it (with my McDonald M)

Only thing that really bothers me is (this has nothing to do with anyone BUT ME) I sure wish I had HSPU…that would make this WOD that much more climatic for ME!!!!

I’m so upset that I can’t make the party. I have a huge surprise party for my sister this weekend, and you know, you can’t skip out on family(even if GCFM will be so much cooler!)

    Question for the Community:

I’ve taken some interest in trail running (trail shoes are so cute!). Is there anyone here doing it? Any suggestions for a beginner?

I’ve done a little trail running but I don’t think I’d be one to give advice. You should check out becoming a member of the Essex Running Club. They do regular track workouts, distance runs, and also trail runs, and have a comprehensive list of trail races on their site as well. http://www.essexrunning.com/

My friend Jim is a member and says it’s really great.

Hey Maria — I did a trail race last year that was part of the NJ Winter Trail Series in Lewis-Morris reservation. It was fun and very different from road racing — snow, trees, single file switch back trails. It was a nice change of pace. There seemed to be runners of all abilities there.

You could hit some of the trails in one of the local reservations to get some experience. South Mountain reservation has great trails. you just have to take it slow and watch your footing.

The Pan Am games are being broadcast on the Internet. I know it may not be as fun as talking about the Halloween party but there is Olympic Weightlifting as well as a whole bunch of other sports being played. If you have time, watch a little bit.
